I haven’t just been sitting on my ass…
There have been some changes to the site lately, mostly to the backend to improve performance. On the front end, there have been some subtle changes:
- First and foremost are the RSS feeds of the top-ranked babes to make it easier to keep up with the latest and greatest.
- I’ve also added a “Share Picture” feature for emailing your favorite babes to your friends — I can thank HotOrNot for that idea — but I think the front page looks a bit cluttered, so that feature might go if no one finds it useful.
- This blog that you’re reading is powered by WordPress. Hopefully this will inspire me to write updates more often!
- Last but not least, in addition to the BabeRank banner widget, I’ve created a new widget to show the Last 3 Votes, which I think is a fun stat to keep track of. The “Last 5 Votes” section of the Details pages have also been revamped to look like the widget, and I think it’s much easier to read than before, too.
What’s next? I’m thinking I need to add rating for guys (but don’t worry, you won’t need to look at it if you don’t want to — I know I don’t) and expand the social networking aspects of the site to make it more like MySpace, Facebook et al.
